woinkeyman @Kampy Alrighty! It's on its way!
woinkeyman @Kampy Actually tell you what - I also personally 3D print these cases for customers in Singapore where I live. As my printer is nowhere as advanced as theirs, I can't print the clip for it, but everything else comes out fine. Have a look here: https://www.etsy.com/sg-en/listing/266990615/ If it works for you, please PM me with your address and I'd send one to you for free.
woinkeyman ufkfvhcf Taskmaster Heap Seng Leong @Kampy I'm very sorry that the product didn't arrive ready for use. I provide the 3D design, and when you order Shapeways 3D prints and ships the product to you. Actually the white substance and "stuck" tube are both residues of the 3D printing process. A high powered laser fuses layers of fine nylon powder into your pencil case - and Shapeways normally cleans and removes the unfused residual powder after printing. However, they sometimes forget to clean out the insides of the case. Let me try and get you a replacement product. However, if you'd like to start using the case you have, you can remove the blockage on your own - it's basically a loose plastic powder that can be dislodged with water or a thin skewer. Thanks for the feedback about the material description - if I'm not wrong Shapeways does actually "polish" the product, but there's no underlying "smooth" surface as it's basically laser-fused plastic powder all the way down. I've included photos of the product to help reduce ambiguity on the final finish. Once again, my apologies on the bad post-processing on your pencil case. Tell me if you're able to unblock it, and I'd be asking Shapeways to "focus fire" the internals of the case in the future. Thank you!:))
woinkeyman @ssys it's from Supcase http://www.supcase.com/unicorn-beetle-pro-cases-for-smartphones-tablets.html pretty good so far, but can be a little bit heavy.
woinkeyman Thanks for the feedback, Jeremy. The pencil case featured in the video was printed on our 3D printer, however it seems like Shapeways' printers have different tolerances. We ordered 2 copies to check [the red and black one in the photo] - and sure enough, one was too tight while the other was just right. As a result, we updated the model to have a little greater tolerance - it's easier to put a little tape on the pencil so that it fits tighter than it is to...shave it down >
woinkeyman WANT IT IN METAL? Click here - https://www.shapeways.com/product/4L5TPRSN6/a-metal-apple-pencil-clip
woinkeyman It's arrived! The Plastic Finish is a perfect fit, but stainless steel proved to be way too tight. Will be releasing a metal-optimised version soon! :)
woinkeyman @berumenxii Hi! The Apple pencil clip in your picture is not made by our shop - ours is a much simpler, more minimalistic design. Feel free to give ours a try too! :)
