Tunuva@BenTate That is not the case. We have been using Backbones on our cables for almost 18 months and have never had a cable fail. The chargers break because the weakest point of the cable is allowed to flex during use. This causes the wires inside the cable to disconnect from the circuit and stop working. Backbone strengthens your cables by allowing minimal movement at the failure point.
Tunuva@BenTate there is not much flex to the part. I'd probably say it'll move about 0.15" in all directions before breaking.
