Fold Collection

The fold collection - 3D printed Ori in Silver, Bronze and Gold plated Brass. The traditional skill of Origami (ori meaning "folding", and kami meaning "paper") creates beautiful geometric forms from a simple sheet of a humble material. Recreating these forms in precious metals such as silver or bronze has always been extremently challenging yet highly desired outcome. Modern day craft techniques such as 3D printing has allowed the designer to ignore limitiations in fabrication translating directly from screen to customer. The fold collection is the first in a range by a Scottish based design collective looking at combining modern day craft with traditional form.
