Product Description

A miniature hammock suspended from a cyclohexane skeleton in the chair conformation! Cyclohexane (C6H12) is an important industrial chemical used to make nylon. The ring in the molecule is not flat; in fact, it adopts a "chair" conformation to minimize strain. Other less-stable conformations include twist-boat, boat, and half-chair. Scale: 1/2 inch = 1 angstrom.
