Lampadario Ring

It's a statement ring, an experimental unique piece and because of this reason part of VDL's "Outliers" collection. The "Outliers" Collection comprehends all the jewellery pieces born out of "epiphany" moments or as an experiment, unique pieces not part of a specific collection right from the start.

This statement geometric ring has been inspired by different vintage ceiling lamps I saw in different cafes and restaurants in Zurich and Melbourne. It's definitely a different shape, creating a sort of a sculpture when seen from the side and a sort of flowery motif from the top, maybe in the future it could host a stone. It gives an idea of solidity, geometries that seem to be placed upsidedown. They could remind also of an old time sweet pudding, creme caramel or gelatin dessert, also upsidedown. Well I leave room for your own imagination... :)
